Graphics Upgrade

Is this Nvidia graphics card better than this ATI graphics card?

I am thinking about buying a graphics card for my computer so that i can do some moderate gaming (nothing like Crysis). The on board graphics i have are the ATI Radeon 3200 so i know i will have to get an ATI graphics card. But i have heard that the Nvidia 8800 GTS will play just about any game. heres the link. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130401 but the card i will most likely be getting is the HIS Radeon HD 4670 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161252 the ATI card has 320 stream processing units, a core clock of 780 MHz, and a memory clock of 2000 MHz. so is it better than the nvidia card with 128 stream processing units, a core clock of 670 MHz and and memory speed of 1940 MHz? and again if the ATI card is not better than the nvidia card, that is fine, i still have to get the ATI card. i was just wondering. and i am also not going to spend more than 100$ on a card because i just want to game every now and then. so thank you for your help and it is greatly appreciated.

  1. Nvidia's implementation of steam processors and ATI's implementation of them are different, so you can't compare them based on that. The 8800gts is actually a lot better than the 4670, so I'd recommend you get that. Also, your onboard graphics have nothing to do with what chipset manufacturer you have to buy. You can use an nvidia card on an ati motherboard (as long as it has a pci-e x16 slot) without a problem.
