Graphics Upgrade

i have a laptop can i upgrade the graphics card?

i have a intel graphics media accelerator X3100 with up to 348 megabyes of dynamic video memory i want to upgrade the video card. can i? and it says up to? so how can i make it so that i have use all 348 mb?

  1. That is not a video card, it is an onboard video chipset. And no, you cant upgrade it, it is soldered to the motherboard. Up to 348 means it is sharing your RAm with your CPU. Changing it would be pointless, you would just be taking RAM away from your other processes.

  4. You don't have a graphics card in a laptop. You have a graphics processor on the MoBo. You have what you have when you bought the laptop.
