Please suggest me a latest graphics card (ati or nvidia) which can play all the games of today?
I have PIV 3.06 GHZ, 512MB DDR2 RAM, 160 GB Hard Disk. Presently, I have Integrated ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Graphics (32 MB of dedicated graphics memory, ATI Hyper Memory Technology upto 128 MB). I am intending to buy one graphics card with nice memory (also at reasonable cost) that is capable of playing all the games of today. Suggest a good one. Also suggest how much memory should it have? Please help. I shall be very grateful to you.

- just because t can play most of the games today doesnt mean it will play new games tommarrow. due what you have now is pretty nice.. if you just use the computer for games get an xbox or xbox360 then you dont need to worrie about that stuff.
- A reasonably priced card is an Nvidia 6600gt or 6800gt
- Playing all the games of today at a powerful and lagfree speed would require a 1GB card, although those prices are higher than snoop dogg. I would recommend a 512MB card from ATI. Nvidia has slightly better graphics, but ATI is faster and cheaper.
- ati 1900 is the newest nividia 7800gtx is the fastest but there real close and cast about 600.00 but u dont need that 7800gt will def do the trick for about 300.00 oh forgot 1 gig is suff but 2 gigs is where its at. newegg.com for your graphics card
- 7800 gtx ( they have it in agp belive it or not ) or the ATI x1900
- Personally I use a Radeon 9600, most games are compatible with that and you can buy 128mb Radeon's online for pretty cheap, you just have to find them.
- First, make sure you have either an AGP slot or a PCI-E slot on your mother board. Then I woulg suggest this: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=324594 if you have AGP
- Well first off you need to decide what games you will be playing to make a good choice on this. Take a look at the games you do play and the ones you want to get, if the majority of the games you play are Directx games you will want to go with ATI, if the majority are Opengl games you will want to go with Nvidia. Ati will run Directx games better then Nvidia, and Nvidia runs Opengl games better then Ati, for as far as my knowledge goes. Now the second question is, how much money do you have and or can you spend on a graphics card. Depending on those 2 questions it should be easier to make a choice. As for memory, graphics cards don't have 1 gig on them yet, and I'm not sure that either ati or nvidia are planning this yet. You will see alot of people say get one that has 512MB on it, that's good and all but the cards that have that much memory, and are actually worth buying are usually above 450 dollars. Now me, I have a Ati X800XL and I'm happy with it, no I cant play the newest games with all the settings all the way up and get playable frame rates. Choosing things for your computer takes alot of research if you don't want to regret your purchase, I know this from personal experience. So to help you make the best decision I'm going to recommend you go to this site www.ocforums.com and look in the Video And Sound Section. Hope that helps and have fun with your new graphics card.
