Graphics Upgrade

Can a laptop have a graphics card upgrade?

I have a Compaq Presario CQ40-108TU laptop and I want to play hardcore games but my friends say that a graphics card upgrade can fix my problem but I don't know if my laptop can be upgradable. Please help!! If so, what graphic cards are available for me?

1. Laptops are hell to upgrade All i ever heard of was a Tesla unit would fit right in & make it just as powerfull as any GTX Nvidia's Graphics cards You'd have to try private owned computer shops & see if they now how to fix you one up
2. laptop cloud not change the graphics card .so if you want to play that game you should change your computer.
3. I believe your laptop has the on-board intel accelerator graphics card. If so if can't be changed since it's soldered to the mainboard. I have heard that Asus and Fujitsu are making external graphics cards that can be connected to laptops for gaming but have not been able to find any to buy. I have the same problem and honestly I think intel should just make processors and not graphics cards.
4. a laptop can't be upgraded because it has integrated graphics, and those graphics can't be upgraded because the manufacturer makes their motherboard specific to the laptop they makes form size. Your best bet to play high end games is to buy a desktop computer.
