Graphics Upgrade

My computer has an AGP video card slot, but I just bought an graphics card for IPC?

I bought the graphics card at BestBuy. Should I go ask them if they have a graphics card for an AGP slot? or just buy an adapter?

  1. The AGP slot is a dedicated video controller, where a PCI slot is a standard data transfer port. PCI video cards work well, but are slower and have less bandwidth then a AGP controller. So it is always better to use the AGP controller where video cards are concerned. So, yes, if Best Buy will exchange the card, I would do so.
  2. They dont make an adapter for this, so take it back to Best Buy and try to exchange it.
