Graphics Upgrade

Is there any possible way i or someone can upgrade my graphics card in my Laptop?

I have an acer extensa 5620, the graphics card isnt bad (intel x3100) as its nice and clear, but i was wondering if i could upgrade the graphics to something more hi-tech, like Nvidia is it possible in anyway that i or someone (computer technician) can upgrade it or atleast send it back to acer and they could do it for me if i paid them... please tell me the truth, is the graphics card on my laptop upgradeable or not, because ive been wondering for so long.

  1. Unfortunately no, that card is built onto the motherboard of the laptop. Some laptops do allow for upgrades of the video card but of course it has to be build that way. Sorry but the only way to get better graphics is to get a better laptop. P.S. And don't think about using one of those usb video devices, they aren't any better than what you have as far as performance goes.
  2. contact acer,it's a small possibility, but i doubt it,sell the one you have craig list, buy a new one check the specs before buying it ,dell and toshiba,hp has good graphic cards, especially dell ,nvidia cards
  3. nope and this is a common question here read this article----pcworld sept issue by chris null page 82 can be found on their web page --get more out of ur laptop----sorry but there is hope if u have a 4000.00 dollar alienware laptop u might be able to upgrade and if u have a media accelerator vid card ur sunk --it is fixed to the motherboard
