- Graphics card brands do not matter, what you have to look for is: 1. motherboard slot type. - the slot has to match the graphics card you want to get 2. Graphics card Memory and GPU Clock - the higher GPU clock, the faster the card will be. Usually 256-512 MB is enough graphics memory 3. Power supply requirements - there is a little box in your computer called the power supply. It has a rating in Watts. Every part inside your PC uses a certain amount of Watts... basically if your graphics card is too High in Watts, your power supply wont be able to handle it and your computer will turn off 4. Dimensions ... make sure it fits in the case... Okay, so... the smallest, and nicest budget graphics card i've seen to date would be the Sapphire Radeon HD 3650. It is a small card, doesnt use much power (ATI cards usually use less power than Nvidia) and it has 512 MB graphics memory. - 120 SPU's give it tons of power -- it can handle Crysis at high (take a look at youtube videos if you dont know what crysis is) - finally ... its extremely cheap... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102726 There you go!
- Brand actually does matter. If you have a Intel motherboard you will probabley want an ATI Graphics card and if you have a NVIDIA or EVGA motherboard you want a NVIDIA or EVGA GPU because of the differences from SLI and Crossfire
