Which ATI graphics card is recommended for San Andreas?

I am currently not using a graphics card at this time just the VGA the motherboard provides. Whenever I play GTA San Andreas, there are some moments that lag like hell, and sometimes that runs perfectly. I know that I need a graphics card. I'm about to purchase one, but I prefer ATI rather than Nvidia. Which one is recommended not just to play this game, but others too.

1. It depends a lot on your pc. Firstly: 1) are you playing on a desktop pc? 2) what type of slot does your motherboard provide for video cards? (PCI-express, AGP 8x, etc.) 3) what resolution/settings would you like to play your games on? I'm going to assume you have a relatively new desktop PC that uses PCI-express. In that case, I'd get this: ATI Radeon HD 4850 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102770) At the moment, its probably one of the best deals for a graphics card, power per price. It should handle all games at the moment in addition to GTA. If that is too high for your budget, I'd get a Radeon 4830 (about $30 less).
