Graphics Upgrade

How would i upgrade my ram and graphics card on my Gateway-E155C laptop?

here's a link with all the specs i know its not the greatest of laptops, but i like it the only problem is that im into computer gaming and my graphics card and ram aren't exactly the best. My tech friend who's really computer smart tells me that my laptops system is in bulk and would be extremely expensive to upgrade i personally have little clue what this means but if any one could help me or give me tips to how to upgrade my card and ram it would be MUCH appreciated!

  1. RAM would not be so hard to upgrade in a laptop as long as it has an available slot. You could google your laptop to see what type of RAM it takes, and then order some online. Now your graphics card, if you even have one, is built in to the chipset that is in your laptop. Unlike desktops, you simply can't just buy a graphics card as there are no slots built into your chipset on your laptop. If you are in to computer gaming, perhaps a laptop is not the best option for you. Laptops that are even capable of running current games to the level expected cost $$$.
  2. This Answer is mostly for the Previous Answerer., You can buy laptops with Video cards build for laptops, They are intergrated, and can't be replaced, but they don't Leech Memory from Ram. If your looking into Gaming on a Laptop, Look for anything with a Video card, Make sure it doesn't say Shared Video Memory, or Up to *** Memory. If a Laptop has a Set number like ATI Radeon GT4300 256 MB, It will most likely have its Only Video Memory on the Video Card. Nothing a Little Research can't Help.
