Where to go to upgrade graphics card?
I like to play games on my pc, but effots are often thwarted by my graphics card. Intel chipset 965 Can I simply upgrade the card my going to a retailer? or do I have to buy a whole new computer with a better graphics card? If I can upgrade the card, where is the best place to go, and what kind of card should I uprgade to?

- You can just order one off somewhere like newegg and put it in yourself. It only fits in one way so its not possible to do it wrong. Before you order it though you need to find out if you have a PCI or Agp slot. And what your power supply is, (e.g. 350w or 250w). It will say on the site you buy it from what slot the card needs and what the minimum power supply is.
- I don't quite know what an effot is. Intel chipset 965 does not tell me what motherboard you have.. but I can tell you that it supports at least pciex16 http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/chipsets/p965/p965-overview.htm On that note, you can either go to newegg.com or to best buy, microcenter, etc and buy a video card... http://www.newegg.com/store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=48&Tpk=video%20card What kind of card? Depends on many things. How much do you want to spend? What is your power supply? Those are really the only 2 main deciding factors. Make sure your power supply can support the video card of your choosing. This is why most people build their own pcs.
- well I would like if you mentioned what kind of power supply you have but you can just simply upgrade your graphics card. Check out some youtube vids on how to do it and go to newegg.com they beat out best buy's prices on graphics cards buy alot and I recommend an ATI 4670 which will work on a 300 watt power supply
