Is there a difference: Video upgrade card or a graphics card?
I don't know that much about computers, and I'm thinking about buying a graphics card for my computer for gaming. Is there a difference between a video upgrade card and a graphics card or not, and if there is, what are the differences? Thanks.

- No there is no difference.
- I've never heard of a graphics card being called a "video upgrade card", but many computers use "integrated video" with shared memory, so if you install a graphics card it could be considered an upgrade card. Try to use the best interface available in your computer. If your motherboard (web seach for the model number printed on the board for details) has an AGP8x or a PCI-Express slot, get a graphics card with the correct interface. Most stores will just try to sell you a PCI graphics card because they will work in any computer (without knowing what your motherboard supports) but they are slower and you won't get maximum performance
