Can my laptop have a graphics card upgrade?
I want to upgrade to a nvidia graphics card but, idk if i can, how do i know if this laptop has a MXM slot on my mother board? If it doesnt, is there any possible way to install a fresh new graphics card into my laptop, to finally get rid of this integrated grapihcs card? - laptops can not normally handle a graphics card upgrade, as its built in, so its better that you either buy a custom desktop, or build one for your gaming preferences.
- Most likely if you have an integrated card, there is not a slot for a dedicated card. Sorry...this is a common issue.
- you usually can't. laptop graphic cards are build into the motherboard. only way to change the graphic card is to change the motherboard, in short change the whole laptop However if you are a big electronic guru, and if you somehow find a graphic chips that would go alone fine with your mother board you could remove the ones you have and install them, but then you are risking to loose the whole laptop if the operation goes wrong.
