- you cant upgrade graghics cards. you must replace it in order to do so.
- Graphics cards are hardware and cannot be downloaded. Most motherboards have integrated graphics capabilites but can be upgraded by buying a new graphics card, either PCI or PCIe. AGP isn't used much now since the arrival of PCIe.
- You can only UPDATE the graphic card driver (if there's new release). Otherwise, there's no other upgrade route to graphics driver except replacing it physically.
- You can update the drivers (I did this with my nVidia 7500 LE and it drove the card too hard and crashed and caused a problem). You can get drivers from the graphics card's company's website (look at the graphics card you have) http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.HTML or you could replace it all together. I would recommend a nVidia 9800 GT (cheap and efficient) Hope it helped
- The hardest thing about upgrading your graphics card, is putting out the money. You do have to open up he computer and remove one graphics card and replace it with your new one. Then you have to install the drivers but if you buy it new an included disk will guide you threw it. You need a + style screwdriver and be sure to ground yourself by holding a metal faucet on your sink for 30 seconds before opening your computer. Check your motherboard manual to see which bus type you have for video graphics. Look at the software you want to run, start looking at prices till you find something that fits the bill. Two to four screws on the back of the computer one more on the grahics card some bus type also have a clip, easy. $ that's the trick.
- just get a new card, the GTS 250 is not a bad option & its cheap too
